How do I track my order?
Double Tap Surplus uses both UPS and USPS shipping services which allow proactive notification to our customers when their shipments are on the way. This information will not be available until an order has shipped. The tracking systems may not provide feedback on the package location for 12-24 hours after that.
How long will it take for me to receive my package?
Orders are usually processed in 1 business day. We don't sell items we don't have physically in stock. No drop shipping, no pre-orders. Depending upon the destination and shipping method, the time for a package to arrive varies. Orders delivered outside the United States will usually experience delays from local Customs Agencies. When available, a tracking number will be provided to the customer and should appear in the order status after the order has shipped. Most packages cannot be tracked after leaving the United States. When a customer suspects that their package has been lost in shipping they should contact customer service.
How long will it take to process my order?
Same day in most cases. We're only as fast as we can get it out the door, so orders in by roughly 1:00 PM EST M-F will be processed and sent out the same day. Orders placed after that will not be processed until the following business day. Orders placed on Friday after the cutoff time will be processed Saturday if we're in store, but may have to wait until Monday or the following business day. Watch out for federal holidays as well, if your order is placed on the weekend of a Monday federal holiday, the package won't go out until Tuesday!
What if my items are backordered?
They won't be! We hate backorders as much as the next person, so we work hard to ensure that our inventory is live and 100% in stock. If you some odd reason an item comes up missing in the warehouse and we cannot meet our delivery window, we will contact you directly for further instruction on your preferences.
How do I return products?
Items may be returned in new and unopened condition within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. To receive your RMA please contact the customer service department. Double Tap Surplus does not reimburse return shipping expenses on correctly shipped orders. All returns must have an authorization number written on the outside of the box in order to be processed. Returns without an authorization number will be returned to sender. Restocking fee may be assessed if this procedure is not followed.
Can everything be returned?
We are not able to accept returns on items that are used, when the item is no longer in salable condition or when hygiene prohibits it. An example of this is used eyewear, undergarments, or ear protection that inserts into the ear. We also cannot accept returns of perishable food products. Items in our clearance section are also final sale, and cannot be returned.
What do I do if product is damaged when I receive it?
If you receive a package with damaged products, please contact Double Tap Surplus customer service at your earliest convenience. As with all returns, an RMA must be issued by customer service before products are returned.
What if I received the wrong product?
If you feel that you have received the wrong product, please contact customer service and we will work with you to correct the problem. The shipping costs for incorrectly shipped items will be met by Double Tap Surplus. Please fill out the Return Form when sending back packages. It will be provided to you via email.
How much is my shipping?
Most orders ship for only $5, and if you purchase $100 or more your shipping is free! Sometimes, shipping is based upon the weight and destination of your order. It is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices. Double Tap Surplus has the right to charge actual shipping cost if the proper shipping amount is not listed on the site at the completion of order and on sales confirmation. We will contact you directly and give you a choice to either cancel or pay the balance due on extra shipping charges.
Does Double Tap Surplus ship to FPOs and APOs?
Yes. We are committed to providing the necessary gear to our troops at home and abroad. You can enter your address normally, make sure to select United States as the country to receive the correct shipping quote!
How long will it take to get my package?
This is subject to change depending on where you are located and what shipping service you select. US residents can expect most packages in 3-5 days. We will provide you with a tracking number so that it is easy to find the status of your order. International customers expect delivery times of anywhere from 7-14 days, with additional delays for customs possible.
Can we ship to a address different than the billing address?
Yes you can! Double Tap Surplus is dedicated to making customer service our number one mission. The ability to ship to another location other than your billing address is sometimes key to surprising that loved one with a special gift.
